How it works

  • OAuth 2.0 authentication with activity:write scope
  • Uploads GPX files to Strava as new activities
  • Automatic activity type mapping (running, cycling, hiking, swimming, and more)
  • Multisport/triathlon workouts are split into separate Strava activities by discipline
  • One-way upload only — SnapGPX does not read or download data from Strava

Your data stays safe

  • Your Strava credentials are never seen or stored by SnapGPX
  • OAuth tokens stored securely in your device's Keychain
  • No backend server — all processing happens on your iPhone
  • Only GPX data (GPS route + timestamps + elevation) is sent to Strava
  • Disconnect anytime — all tokens are immediately deleted from your device
